Our Vision
At Ascot Heath Primary School all our children will have an understanding of the past and how history will shape their future. We will foster a sense of curiosity that will help children understand the complexity of people’s lives, the process of change, the diversity of societies and relationships between different groups. It will also help children gain a sense of their own identity within a social, political, cultural and economic background. Our teaching of history will equip children to ask perceptive questions, think critically, weigh evidence, sift arguments and develop perspective and judgement. Our children will be passionate about history and enjoy learning about past events locally, nationally and globally. Because of the way history is taught at Ascot Heath our children will go on to take an interest in the world around them and begin to have an understanding of the historical importance of significant events within their own lifetimes.
